OpenOffice.org available in 7 new other Indic languages

Thanks to RKVS Raman for these news:

"The BharateeyaOO.o Group ( http://www.cdacbangalore.in/bharateeyaoo )
of CDAC Electronics City Bangalore announces the availability of
OpenOffice.org 2.0.1 language packs in 7 Indian Languages.

The languages are

1) Assamese
2) Gujarati
3) Hindi
4) Malayalam
5) Marathi
6) Oriya
7) Urdu

Out of these languages Hindi has been jointly done by us and Rajesh
Ranjan and Gujarati has been translated by Utkarsh (
http://www.utkarsh.org ).

Special credits have to be given to GIST Group CDAC Pune (
http://www.cdac.in/html/gist/gistidx.asp ) for translating for the
rest of the 5 languages.

The Urdu Language Pack supports RTL interface.

The language packs have been made available for Linux (Debian and Red
Hat) and Windows.

The merged source is also made available.

News of the Germanophone project at the Cebit

"Hi all,

I know, that some of you have interest in the marketing activities from the germanophone project, so I would like to give you a short summary of CeBIT 2006 in Hannover (9.03.-15.03.06), where we presented OpenOffice.org.

This year CeBIT celebrated its 20th anniversary and had 6,262 exhibitors, including over 3,300 from abroad.

The germanophone project had a nice booth in hall 4, where also Microsoft, SAP and other small companies exhibited their goods :-) We presented the project together with some companies, which offer services around OOo and which made our booth possible. Additionally we had two lectures in the "LinuxPark".
